In January, 2025, the Global Surgery Research Hub at the University of Rwanda proudly inaugurated its facility: Virtual Lab, Research and Innovation Corner at Remera Campus.

In August, 2024, the Global Surgery Research Hub, in collaboration with the University of Rwanda and the University of Birmingham hosted a Global Surgery Research Open Day at Lemigo Hotel, Kigali.
